When it comes to food for your pets, fresh is always best. Our friends at Freshpet collaborated with local artist Will Kurtz to create a unique sculpture in Brooklyn’s Domino Park to show people exactly why fresh is by far the better pet food option.
PIX11’s Marysol Castro talked with Kurtz and Freshpet representative Steve Elwell about the “One Sad Kibble Dog” sculpture and campaign and it’s goal to educate people consumers about what they are feeding their pets. Freshpet has revolutionized the pet food scene by using 100% natural farm-raised proteins, fiber-packed garden veggies, and antioxidant-rich fruits. They steam-cook everything to preserve more of the naturally occurring nutrients and their food is stored in the fridge, where fresh food belongs.
Freshpet will have brand ambassadors on site at the sculpture in Domino Park today through Sunday, June 13. During the weekdays, they’ll be there from 5pm to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 2pm.
Pet parents can drop by during those hours and get polaroids taken of their pets with the sculpture, and also receive Freshpet coupons, branded dog bowls, and hats. Pet parents that share their experience on social and tag @Freshpet and #QuibbleWithKibble, can have a chance to win a three-month supply of Freshpet.
