More than 20 dogs are safe after what the Humane Association of Warren County is calling “one of the hardest rescues” it has ever done.Officials found the animals on the property over the weekend. It took 4.5 hours just to get to the animals.The Humane Association said they rescued 23 dogs who are now cleaned up and being tested and vaccinated.In all, the rescue took 20 hours. “It was honestly all worth it just to hear them all sleeping on the way home and know that they would have a safe warm place to be, many for the 1st time in their lives,” the Humane Association wrote on Facebook Monday.The animal shelter will continue to provide updates regarding when the dogs will be available for adoption.
